Tim was always extremely bright; he was capable of writing and spelling words and doing complex puzzles at age 3. Throughout elementary school he was often the best speller and quickest student to solve math problems, and correctly! Tim placed in the Spring Lake Heights School geography bee in his 7th and 8th grade years. He graduated as Salutatorian of his 8th grade class and was ranked 4th in the Manasquan High School (MHS) class of 2008.Tim was an executive board member for the MHS National Honor Society (NHS) during his senior year. His favorite subjects were math and history, and he enjoyed tutoring, formally through NHS and also informally. Before his death, which was just 7 weeks short of his high school graduation, he had plans to attend Drexel University where he had been awarded a $90,000 merit scholarship.
